These plans are designed to align with New Zealand’s Schedule 1 (Exempt Building Work) criteria for detached buildings up to 70sqm, where applicable. In many cases, this may remove the need for a full building consent. However, the building must still comply with the NZ Building Code, and site-specific factors and planning rules must be confirmed before building.
